Hello to all that partake in this biographical journey! My name is Kama. It stems from a Hindu/Sankrit background. I am the afternoon voice on 99.9 The Point in Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming. My parents were some crazy hippies back in the day. I grew up in the Durango area (Bayfield) without electricity, telephone and television. On top of that, I was home-schooled until I was 11 years old. But I always had radio. My dad was a local DJ and use to dedicate songs to his favorite daughter....ME. There stemmed my love for the job. I’ve lived in Northern Colorado for 7 years and I love it here. My favorite artists are currently Incubus, Lyrics Born, Goldfrapp, Foo Fighters, Audioslave, Modest Mouse, Muse, Nelly Furtado, Collective Soul, Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pink, Tegan & Sara, Beth Orton, Shakira, and anything with a great drum beat and energy.. My favorite possessions are my bike and my headlamp. I love riding my cruiser, flavors: mint, black licorice, molasses and coffee, Kat's artwork on Miami Ink, travel shows, dirt roads, camping, road trips, 5 Barrel beer (Odells), red wine, yellow tulips, my cat Hobbs, singing loudly in the sunshine, painting stuff, cooking, dancing, garlic, the color red, accessories and music!!!
